5th Annual MAC & CHEESE Festival at Copper Mountain
July 27th, starts at noon through July 28th, ends at 5 pm
My co-worker, Paul, likes his with Alfredo sauce. Nick prefers creamy, not baked. Abbie likes hers with ground beef and lots of butter. My favorite is fried onions and hot-dog bits mixed into creamy spirals.
It’s an interesting topic. Everyone seems to have fond memories of the humble pasta, and his/her own twist on how best to enjoy it. Like so many others it reminds me of my college days; it was cheap, easy comfort food that had a dozen variations. It was a pantry must-have, along with PB&J, salsa and soup.
The chefs at Copper Moutain are upping the ante with their culinary concoctions like…
- Roasted Pork and Brie Mac with Apple, Fennel, Artichoke and a Butter Cracker Crust
- Mac & Cheese Wontons over a bed of Asian Slaw
- Nawlin’s Style Mac including Chicken, Andouille, Shrimp Smoked Gouda Creole Sauce, Okra and Cotija
Swoon! If you want in on this cheesy goodness buy tickets on eventbrite. Tickets start at $20.00.
Also this weekend- attend the Breckenridge Food & Wine Festival. Wines from around the globe are paired with delicious vittles, live music and scenic strolls. Purchase your tickets by clicking the link above.
