If you travel at all, you’ve probably heard the term “sprinter” many times and likely thought very little about it. So what’s this all about and who really cares about the type of van that carries you from the airport to your resort destination?
Well, we care. Summit Express has purchase a quarter-million dollars worth of sprinters in the last few months. This is important to Summit Express for many reasons.
Safety – built with the most advanced safety standards, sprinters provide unequaled transportation safety features.
Comfort – headroom, more space for luggage, and big windows that frame the beauty of Colorado’s mountains.
Environment – better gas mileage, lower emissions, quieter, and longer lifecycle. This baby is green in every way.
Sprinter History
The first generation Sprinter was launched in Europe in 1995 to replace the famous but outdated Mercedes-Benz TN van (dating from 1977). It was voted International Van of the Year for 1995. The second generation Sprinter was introduced in Europe in 2006. It was voted Van of the Year 2007 and again in 2008 by Professional Van and Light Truck Magazine.
But do you care? Do you book ground transportation based on the type of vehicle you’ll be riding in?
