Between Exit 195: Copper Mountain and Exit 180: East Vail (Copper Mountain) from Mile Point 195 to Mile Point 190. Passenger vehicles are required to have mud or snow tires or use chains or alternative traction devices or be a four wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle.
I-70E – Traction Law Code 15
Between Exit 203: CO 9; East Frisco (Silverthorne) and Exit 241: Idaho Springs (Idaho Springs) from Mile Point 205 to Mile Point 241. Passenger vehicles are required to have mud or snow tires or use chains or alternative traction devices or be a four wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle. Slower speeds are advised.
